Don't be shy...  Sniff around!
This web site was originally created to offer existing members & new members an interactive environment to continue the Gordon Gilmer Dog Park community online.  Unfortunately, due to a lack of support by IndyParks, the volunteer group is currently in hibernation.  Thank you to those who have dedicated time over the years, particularly on our annual clean-up days.

Even without an organized group, anyone can still make as much of an impact on the dog park as they would like.  Bringing your own pick-up bags and helping to keep the dog park clean is a great example.  With a $75+ plus annual fee per dog, one would think that IndyParks could manage to keep the dogi-pot stations supplied with cheap plastic bags, but that is not always the case as many have experienced.   Also, please remember to carry out your trash, such as beverage cups.  The baskets hanging on the fence are for storage of tennis balls, not trash.

This website is now maintained on a very limited basis.  Efforts have been made to remove outdated information and point to the most recent resources available from Indy Parks, however, some information here may still be out-of-date.   The birthday club page will still be updated.

If you have complaints about the bark park or notice maintenance issues, please direct your inquiry the Mayors Action Center: http://www.indygov.org/eGov/Mayor/mac.htm
